Re[visit] 1925

The Santa Barbara County Office of Arts and Culture is pleased to announce 1925, a new public art installation for the Jardin de las Granadas created by artists Kym Cochran and Jonathan Smith. 1925 is a four-piece sculptural installation representing the 1925 earthquake that destroyed much of downtown Santa Barbara. The artists will illuminate the sculpture with light projections periodically.

Primarily funded by Santa Barbara Beautiful, 1925 represents an innovative collaboration between the City of Santa Barbara, the Downtown Organization, Santa Barbara County, Aware & Prepare, Santa Barbara Public Library, the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum, Explore Ecology,  EqoGo, New Grit, Fishbon, local artists, and schools throughout the county. special thanks to los promotores de santa barbara.
